Understanding Human Trafficking (3 CEs)

This training equips Peer Support Specialists with comprehensive knowledge of human trafficking—including definitions, types, legal implications, and how to identify and respond to signs of trafficking. Through videos, case studies, discussions, and quizzes, participants will explore key issues such as sex and labor trafficking, the exploitation of minors, coercive control, and legal protections under California law. Special attention is given to vulnerable populations, high-risk environments (gaming platforms, major highways etc.), and peer-level strategies for prevention and support.
