Medi-Cal Peer Support Training
The comprehensive 80‑hour Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist training is grounded in the recovery model and emphasizes ethics, effective communication, and trauma‑informed care and services. This program is designed for individuals with lived experience in mental health or substance use recovery, providing the knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue state certification and begin a meaningful career within the public mental health system.

What is Asynchronous?
There are no mandatory real-time meetings, giving you the flexibility to access materials online at your own pace.
Fully self-paced, 30-day access. On Learning Platform (Canvas).
What is Hybrid?
Offers both in-person sessions and digital coursework for flexibility, typically requiring fewer scheduled meetings.
On Zoom with a trainer on Monday & Wednesday, 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM. On Learning Platform (Canvas) Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
What is Synchronous?
Meet in real-time online (Zoom) with a trainer, Monday - Friday, at specific, scheduled times (9 AM - 1 PM) for live interaction, Q&A, and group activities.
