This is a real program funded by California’s Employment Development Department and run by Parents Anonymous®, a nonprofit. There is no cost to participate. The training is 80 hours, and the program prepares eligible participants for W-2 peer-support roles with benefits.
What you get
- $1,000 to be in the program
- Up to $1,297 to help with rent, gas, childcare, and getting to work
- W-2 peer-support opportunities paying $26 to $27 an hour, with health, dental, and vacation benefits
Who it's for
This program is for Californians 18 to 28 with a high school diploma or GED, who’ve been through something real or supported someone who has.
